I’m going to be completely honest. I’m not the best at keeping people in the loop of what is my life—but I’m going to give this my best shot.

As I am writing this I am currently in a Panera in Boulder, CO, visiting my brothers because I didn’t work this week. I have recently started meeting with the pastor at my church once a week to talk about how to do this fundraising thing, and how to ask God for the resources and let him take the worry about this away. My pastor —Justin— then told me to start reading Nehemiah and gave me a book called “The God Ask” by Steve Shadrach. Now I would be lying if I told you I have read this book inside out or read it every day. I’ve only opened it once or twice and only skimmed it, but it was exactly what I needed for what I was doing which- was name-storming. And it seems that I always have the book by my side. Right, now I’m really trying to figure out how to shut up and listen to God while also asking him to provide and trying to find that balance between telling God to take the reins while also proactively listening and doing what he wants me to do. I plan on getting “The Art of Listening Prayer ” by Seth Barnes. My pastor just started reading it and said it was really good. I really hate reading but it’s something I wanna start doing. I’ve already started gathering names of books to read while away to learn more about God from different cultural perspectives. I really enjoy listening to The Bema Podcast which is about understanding the Bible how it would have originally been interpreted because it was written by Jews for Jews and you learn more about how they are more relationally based instead of knowledge based that most Americans or “westerners” are when it comes to knowing God. I am really excited for what is coming up and what the Lord will do in my life and how I will grow in my relationship with him in the next chapter of my life.

I hope y’all will be patient with me as I learn to do this blogging thing because this is completely new to me and I am a very introverted, keep to myself type of person.

Until next time,
