Before I start anything I’m going to apologize for sending all my blog updates multiple times I’m only trying to send them once, but like I said it’s taking me a little bit of time to learn this blogging thing. Thank you for your patience though!

So… this is probably my last blog post before I leave for training on the 27th, and my church is going to do a send-off or “Send Isaiah” as they like to call it for me this Sunday; I don’t know exactly what they’re doing but I believe they are going to collect a little offering and probably pray and then there was a bunch of leftover hamburgers and hotdogs from all of our different outreaches in and around our community that they’re going to cook up after the service. And in all honesty, am really going to miss this church. I’ve moved many times and have been to even more churches, but never to a church like The Well its a small church but it’s full of people who not only claim to love the Lord but you can actually see it in their life.

I am pumped to go on this next journey in my life, but also terrified because it’s becoming real. Like I’m beginning to realize the closer I get to leaving that it is not just sunshine and rainbows or however that saying goes. I’m going to be living on my own for nine months for the first time in my life and I’m doing it in 4 other countries. Like I’m going to be thousands of miles away from any family and that’s a little scary in all honesty. I understand I’m going to be with  Squad/Teammates and I haven’t met them yet but I have texted them a little and they seem like great people but it’s just different. But with that being said I’m stoked to get to live with these people and hopefully the relationships I will build during this journey in my life. I’m especially excited for all the stories the good, the bad, and the embarrassing I’m going to get to share, and the lessons the Lord will teach me.

I have gotten just about everything I need to leave and got a tent, sleeping pad, and a handful of other stuff for FREE! I don’t know exactly how I got it but I do know my pastor made some calls to a local outfitter called Nexgen and did a few others things. Now I only need a handful of small things that would mostly help protect the things I have. Well that and partners to pray for me and to find who God is calling to help me financially.

Thank you so much for your prayers, financial support, and joining me on my upcoming journey in my life. Everything means so much especially the prayers and following my on this journey.

One response to “Its Getting Real”

  1. Yes Sir…it is getting real! Looking forward to meeting you in Gainesville next week. Scripture has many “do not fear” verses. With your home church sending and praying for you, and squad mates to support you, and the Lord guiding you, do not fear.
See you soon – Coach Andy
